School Board
The Emery Unified School District Board of Trustees is composed of five dedicated volunteers who are elected at-large by their community to serve four-year, staggered terms. This Board supervises the administration of the school district, ensures fiscal responsibility, and implements policies that reinforce the district's mission and vision. Alongside the Superintendent, the Board operates as a unified team dedicated to attaining the district's goals, all while embodying shared values that prioritize student success and continuous enhancement.
The Board's service extends beyond the students, staff, and community members of Emery Unified. They are also staunch advocates for public education. The Board strives to establish partnerships with local businesses and community organizations to broaden educational prospects for all students. Moreover, they provide feedback to local and state government officials regarding issues that directly influence public education. |

Thank you for trusting me with this important responsibility. As a parent of a child that has spent their entire elementary school years in the district, I think I have a unique perspective that will make my service invaluable. I have an intimate knowledge of the school from my years as a PTO officer and volunteer. My Masters degree in Sustainable Business helps me to understand our schools from a systems mindset, as interconnected with our local and global community – particularly in that our campus is the Emeryville Center for Community Life. My restorative justice and non-profit training as a board member with the Bay Area Girls Rock Camp has also prepared me to work with diverse students and stakeholders. I am excited to take my dedication to children and public schooling to the next level.
