Anna Yates

 In celebration of Women’s History Month, we are excited to share this informative article from the Emeryville Historical Society about Anna Yates, the namesake of our K-8 school! Anna graduated from Oakland High School in 1892. Following graduation, she was awarded a primary teaching certificate by the county board in 1893 when she was 21.
